The best way to gain attention at great value.
The print poster is one of the earliest forms of advertisement. Developed in the early 19th century, they were used to promote various events, products, ideas and messages. Even with the popularity of the Internet today, print posters are still being created because they are an effective tool to communicate with a mass audience.
If you’re looking to print posters, you have come to the right place. We are dedicated to provide our customers with the best quality, price and in-time delivery. All of our print posters come with a professional finish, are effective both indoors and outdoors, and will add value to your promotional campaigns. We specialise in both small format and large format poster printing, ensuring we meet a diverse set of poster printing needs.
There are a few points to keep in mind if you want your print poster to be effective:
When designing a poster, choose backgrounds that are solid colours, since gradients and transparent elements may not always print well, even though they look nice on screen. Use a design that is sleek and clean, with information that is organised in neat clusters, with an intelligent use of images and fonts that stand out without distracting you from the message.
It is crucial to use high resolution images and graphics, so your print poster looks good when printed to its actual size, with little scope for pixilation. Your design may look perfect on your screen, but it might lose a lot of definition once it is blown up for the large format poster.
Trims and Bleeds
The 'trim size' is the final dimension that your printing job will be cut to. However, an additional 3mm bleed is required wherever design elements touch the edge of your trim dimension. This provides a safety margin during the post production trimming of your project, to ensure your bleed elements remain touching the trim edge without any white, unprinted gaps between the bleed element and the trim edge. If you have any design elements (including borders) that come too close to the trim edge, and you do not intend for them to touch the trim edge, then you must ‘back it away’ from the trim edge by at least 4mm.
Most posters come in A3 and A2 sizes, but we can print any size you want. To determine the size you need, consider the amount of information you need to include, as well as the location for the poster.
Before designing the poster, it is helpful to know the location that your poster will be placed. Besides determining the size you need, the location can help you finalise the colours you will use, so your poster doesn’t blend into the background. Knowing where the poster will be put can also play a big part in deciding what and how much information to include. For example, people might be able to spend more time reading a poster at a library, than one stuck on a shop window.
In most cases, your poster will be read from a distance, so it’s important to ensure key information can be easily read even from a distance. Don’t forget to include the call to action in your poster, whether it is to invite the audience to an event, or to buy a product, or to get in touch. Important details such as contact information, relevant dates, or social media details should be in the poster.
